Schwabisch Hall, Germany, 17 September 2011
My first stop from Frankfurt. We came here by train. There were some problems at first trying to find our way around at the train station. Apparently, we were not at the right train station as what Erhan has bought online. So we took sometime to figure things out. Then Erhan went to ask the travel centre for the rail company and the guy gave us a new ticket at no extra charges. What more... The price of the new tix were more than what we had and we would arrive at Schwabish Hall earlier than the tickets he bought. But still, we paid no extra charges. Erhan stopped complaining about Germany already. He's loving the country already.
While waiting for one of the trains, he said to me, "Let's move to Germany. I'll come and work at one of the Turkish restaurants."
Yes, Germany is a good country, so far.
When we arrived at the train station, we had to wait a long while for Ömer. We alighted at the wrong station :s Luckily he was only about a half hour away.
The rest of the day was spent walking around Scwabisch Hall. According to Ömer, one part of the town has a long history dating back to 1000 years.
TEA GARDEN.. NO, BEER GARDEN
When we arrived at Schwabisch Hall, as we were making our way to Ömer's room, we came across a park. Ömer, being a good tour guide, pointed out to the benches in the park and told us that was the tea garden.
I knew he was trying to be polite but I, on the other hand, trying to be a smart ass, corrected him: Beer Garden.
Ömer: You know the Germans already.
